Unispice has been BRC Grade “A” certified for the sixth consecutive year

Unispice has been certified for the sixth consecutive year with Grade “A” of Global Standards for Food Safety.

What are the goals for BRC Standards?

Global Standards for Food Safety have been developed to specify the safety, quality, and operational criteria required to be in place within a food manufacturing organization to fulfill obligations with regard to legal compliance and protection of the consumer

History

The British Retail Consortium was formed in January 1992 when the British Retailers' Association and the Retail Consortium merged. In 1998, it produced the first edition of the BRC Standard in order to have a single standard for food safety that has to be met from food manufacture to sale to the end consumer; this based on HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) methodology and principles, and ISO 9001 International Quality Standards.

New version

The BRC Board of directors reviews the standard every three years, after intensive consultation with all interested parties. Unispice has been included to share its experiences as well as improvement points of the standard.

From January 1, 2012, version 6 took effect. Unispice was one of the first companies in Latin America to be audited under the new standard.

Through quality and safety audits, Unispice proves its commitment with customers to deliver high quality products with strict safety controls.
